The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is an entry and scholarship criterion into most of the best and highly-ranked schools in the United States. It is a test of Mathematical and Verbal reasoning. The SAT is scored on a scale of 200-800 (for math, reading and writing) amounting to a maximum total score of 2400. The SAT is typically taken by high school juniors and seniors in the United States and is offered several times a year.
