Test of English as a Foreign Language [ TOEFL ]

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL®) is to evaluate English language proficiency of people whose native language is not English. It measures the ability of non-native speakers of English to use and understand English as it is spoken, written, and heard in college and university settings.   TOEFL® scores are accepted by more than 6,000 colleges, universities, and licensing agencies in 110 countries.

The test is offered now only in two formats: Internet-Based Test (iBT) and Paper-Based Test (PBT). Computer- Based TOEFL Test (CBT) is no longer available and iBT, the Next Generation TOEFL Test is gaining more popularity these days.

This latest version involves the mandatory speaking section, along with integrated tasks in both speaking and writing sections for the first time. It, however, does not have a separate grammar and structure section, as the use of grammar will be strongly evaluated in speaking and writing sections.

This is the oldest version of TOEFL Test, with some updates, delivered on the paper. Listening Comprehension measures the ability to understand English as it is spoken in North America. Structure and Language measures the ability to recognize language that is appropriate for standard written English. Reading Comprehension measures the ability to understand non-technical reading matter. Test of Written English (TWE) measures the ability to write in English on an assigned topic.

We keep small number of students in classes where they can get personal attention which they need to work at a pace that is suitable for their needs. The Instructor works closely with students to identify their weakness and strength so as to give them the appropriate guidance.
