International English Language Testing System [ IELTS ]

The International English Language Testing System is a test of English as a foreign language that measures students’ proficiency in four areas of English language skills: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. A band score of 0-9 is given for each individual section including half - band score as well.  There are two modules of IELTS Test: the Academic and the General Training Course. The Academic Course is for candidates who wish to pursue their higher education overseas, whereas the General Training Course is for immigration and training requirements in UK, Australia and Canada. IELTS Scores are accepted worldwide by the educational institutions in more than 120 countries. IELTS is the property of three partners Cambridge ESOL Examination Syndicate, British Council and idp Australia.

 Mock Test

Full tests for the Listening, Reading and Writing modules are conducted in the convenience of the studens. In these practice tests students are provided with individual headphones and volume controls. These tests are like the real tests, the results of which are displayed on the SHEFFIELD Web, as well as the student notice board.

 Self-Access Lab

IELTS Self-access lab contains the latest materials for both the Academic and General Training modules. Students can access the lab any time from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Students get access to all the materials for the four different modules Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing.

The Self-access lab helps students get familiar with the varieties of question types that appear on the actual test.
