The International English Language Testing System is a test of English as a foreign language that measures students’ proficiency in four areas of English language skills: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. A band score of 0-9 is given for each individual section including half - band score as well.
There are two modules of IELTS Test: the Academic and the General Training Course. The Academic Course is for candidates who wish to pursue their higher education overseas, whereas the General Training Course is for immigration and training requirements in UK, Australia and Canada. IELTS Scores are accepted worldwide by the educational institutions in more than 120 countries. IELTS is the property of three partners Cambridge ESOL Examination Syndicate, British Council and idp Australia.
